  Establishment 

The Department was started in 1990 for U G programme. The Department of History is one of the important Departments in Social Sciences in the college. The Department has well qualified and experienced faculties. The faculties have experience in teaching and research

Vision

  • To create scientific temper in understanding historical events.
  • To create better understanding about historical knowledge and to inculcate basic research skills among the students

Mission

  • To document and generate historical information through research projects.
  • To have academic and research collaborations with State Archives, University, Private Museums and cultural centres.
  • To organize Seminars, Conferences, Heritage fairs, Fields trips and Workshops at State and National level.
